Fairtrade 5th Anniversary Celebration Cake

On Saturday 26th Feb Wells Action for Fairtrade (WAFT) set up their customary stall, to remind residents and holiday makers alike just how good Fairtrade Mark products are and that an ever growing number can be purchased in our local shops. As this is the 5th anniversary of Wells achieving Fairtrade Town status as well as samples of orange juice, hot chocolate and mulled wine, there were slices of cake to celebrate. If you enjoyed the cake the recipe is available by clicking here.

On Saturday 5th March at 10:00 am Wells WI are holding a Fairtrade coffee morning with a speaker at 10.30 am. Caroline Norton will bring slides and share her experiences of visiting Palestine for the olive harvest, and of course there will be the chance to buy fairly traded olive oil as well as other good things from the Traidcraft stall. Wells WI hope that local residents and visitors as well as members of other local WIs will join them on Saturday.
